The Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Tennessee Titans All Have Aspirations to Knock off the Chiefs in the AFC this Year

The Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Tennessee Titans all hope to make a run at the king of the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs. And they all have the opportunity to do so in 2018. According to our Football Outsiders predictions, the Chiefs should have a tough road to Super Bowl LIV, but they have a shot. The team was the No. 10 seed last year, but they were outscored by 7.4 points per game by playoff teams. The Chiefs were the No. 2 seed last year, but they were outscored by 4.7 points per game by playoff teams. So the Chiefs will have to play a lot better in 2018 to make it to the Super Bowl.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been absolutely dominant in the AFC West, holding a 14-2 record while going undefeated at home. Despite this they have a tough test ahead of them this weekend: the Bills, Dolphins, and Titans all have aspirations to knock off the Chiefs this year. The Bills and Dolphins both have a 1-2 record, while the Titans are currently a game behind the Chiefs in the division. While the Chiefs are difficult to beat at home, the Bills and Dolphins both have a record of 1-1 away from home. The Titans have one of the tougher schedules after the kickoff this week, as they have to face the Patriots and Dolphins in consecutive weeks, both of whom are currently above .500. While all three teams are very

The Chiefs went 11-5 last year and won the AFC West, just edging out the Broncos and Raiders by a game. Many believe this year they will be one of the top contenders once again, and as such, they will come under the national spotlight. With a few key additions this offseason and some new coaching staff, the Chiefs could easily be a legitimate threat to make the playoffs.. Heading into the 2021 NFL season, we already know that the Kansas City Chiefs are the #1 team in the AFC.

The Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl twice in a row and are expected to do so again this year, but they may have to deal with some very hungry teams.

These teams could make the Chiefs’ road to the Super Bowl more difficult than expected.

Miami Dolphins

Last season, the Dolphins were just one game away from making the playoffs, and that missing victory was a narrow one against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The Dolphins, who rely on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, lost 33-27 to the Chiefs. Now Miami is making every effort to make a serious run in the AFC.

According to the Miami Herald, former offensive coordinator Chan Gailey was known for not letting Tua and the offense run free at times, but that should change this year.

The Dolphins have brought in new receiver Jaylen Waddle from Alabama, and with Tagovailoa starting to get comfortable in the offense, the puzzle pieces may be coming together. They already have a first-rate defense that saved them from defeat last year. If their offense can catch up, they could cause quite a stir in the AFC.

The Titans always seem to be a tough opponent in the AFC playoffs. Every year they are close, but they always fail. This year may be different. To prove they are serious about making the playoffs, they have reached an agreement to acquire former Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones.

Jones has made it clear to the Falcons that if they trade him, he wants to go to a Super Bowl contender, and the Titans are such a team.

Now that quarterback Ryan Tannehill can do more than pass the ball to Derrick Henry, the Titans are not only a tough contender for the AFC playoffs, they are now serious contenders.

The team that should cause the Chiefs the most angst is the Buffalo Bills. This is a good team desperate to get back to its first Super Bowl in nearly 30 years.

The Bills have everything they need to compete with the Chiefs again in the AFC, but will it be enough? The Chiefs played too much offense last season and the Bills didn’t have enough offense to make a serious run in the AFC Championship Game. Quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense are hard to beat, especially if they don’t beat themselves.

It’s not just about having enough attacking players, but also making sure your defense is good enough to make plays when needed.

The Bills also have to deal with hungry teams in their division, like the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, who are out to eliminate them.

The Chiefs are still the team to beat in the AFC, but they have to be wary, because they will be tested heavily, not only by these teams, but also by more experienced teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and, yes, even the Cleveland Browns. They are all set to take the next step against the reigning AFC Kings.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a playoff game end in a tie, but that’s about to change in 2015. The NFL postseason features three AFC unbeatntes—the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots—with hopes of reaching the Super Bowl. As the Chiefs and Steelers prepare for their first-round playoff matchup, the Dolphins and Titans are targeting their first appearance in the AFC Championship game. New England enters the postseason as the top seed in the AFC, while Kansas City and Pittsburgh are the second and third seeds, respectively..
