Guide to Sea of Thieves: Legend of the Veil
The Legend of the Veil is a special trip for Pirate Legends alone. Only the Pirate Lord, who can be found in the Athena’s Fortune Hideout, concealed under the Tavern at every outpost, may give it out.
To begin, purchase the Legend of the Veil excursion from the Pirate Lord, set it on your ship’s table, and vote. The Pirate Lord will talk with you and give you a book explaining your first destination as well as the Veil of the Ancients, a mystery mask.
The Veil’s Legend is a three-part adventure. Your mission is to find three ancient Veil Stones and set them in the Veil of the Ancients. The mask’s power to breach the barrier between the Sea of Thieves, where the living reside, and the Sea of the Damned, where the dead dwell, will be restored.
For the first two portions of Legend of the Veil, there are a smorgasbord of possible goals. Return to your ship after collecting each stone, and the Pirate Lord will disclose the next chapter as well as where to get the next stone.
In Legend of the Veil, there are many different types of objectives.
For the first two chapters of the Legend of the Veil trip, you may choose from three different sorts of goals.
Legend of the Veil’s Ancient Statue travels will take you to an island in search of Belle. She gives your team an Enchanted Lantern once she has been found. Hold it up to reveal a secret statue, which will set off a chain reaction of light from other statues throughout the island.
To find each statue, follow the light pulses. A gang of Phantoms will attack after the last statue is illuminated. You’ll be aided in your struggle by a swarm of ghostly Ancients. If you defeat the Soulflame Captain, you will get the Veil Stone, which will allow you to continue the Legend of the Veil.
Legend of the Veil’s treasure maps are somewhat modified versions of more traditional treasure seeking expeditions. Your book will tell you where to look for Sudds, who will then give you a map. Knowing what island you’re looking at from just a few points is tremendously useful in this situation.
In Legend of the Veil, there are a few alternative versions of this goal, each with its own twist:
- Sudds has drawn certain landmarks from a particular island that you must visit, as well as a photograph of a specific place with a sign painted over the hidden treasure.
- The image is usually a close-up of a particular section of the island. Spread out your team (if you have one) and look for a suitable spot to stand that fits the image. To discover the Veil Stone, look beneath the symbols.
- Close-up Maps — These are the most like a traditional treasure map, but they’re zoomed in and cropped close to the prize. When comparing this map to the chart on board your ship, look for the contours where the beaches meet the ocean.
- Once you’ve located the island, zoom in to match the map’s perspective and make a note of it. Now cruise to the island and begin digging. That’s another stone added to your ship.
- Liars map – This map depicts an island with numerous symbols drawn on it. All of them, with the exception of one, match to genuine painted symbols on the island. Find each one and dig when you come across one that doesn’t match. This is where the Veil Stone will be laid to rest.
Shipwreck Legend of the Veil’s last possible aim is graveyards. Your novel will take place in a region of the sea where several ships met a tragic end. Make your way to that location and search for a massive pile of debris.
There are a number of shipwrecks to discover. You’re searching for a certain ship as well as a key. The ship is the Grim’s Fortune, as shown by the plaque over the captain’s quarters’ barred door. The key is hidden amid the rubble of one of the nearby shipwrecks.
To open them, interact with things such as boxes, paintings, cabinets, and containers. The majority will be empty, however a couple will have valuables and one will hold the key to the Grim Fortune’s cottage, which houses the Veil Stone.
The Fortress at Sea
After completing the first two parts of the Legends of the Veil adventure, your crew will be thrust into the great conclusion, a fight against a gigantic citadel guarded by a whirling Green Tornado. This is going to be a long and exhausting struggle, so make sure you’re well-prepared before traveling to the enormous green storm.
You must uncover the citadel inside the cyclone and destroy it with well-placed cannon blasts to finish this chapter of Legend of the Veil. Three smaller castles, each defended by a fleet of Phantom ships, create the tornado.
Because the ships reproduce indefinitely, it’s preferable to concentrate on the structure. Sailing within range, fire volleys of cannonballs at the fortress’s top level. Only strikes to the top walls are counted, and they cause a flash of green light to appear when they do so. The citadel will become exposed and the adjacent group of ships will vanish after enough punishment has been inflicted.
This practice should be repeated two more times. Each vanquished stronghold will leave a few storage containers in the debris; if you’re short on supplies, send someone to get them. You may begin your attack on the bigger center castle after all three minor fortresses have been destroyed and the Green Tornado has dissipated.
The main stronghold is substantially bigger than the others, with several regions that must be demolished. Any lighter colored sections, particularly in the higher half, are your objective in general.
The stronghold, as well as the Phantom Ships, will be shooting fiercely as you circle it. Maintain your repairs and concentrate your assault on the stronghold. The stronghold will erupt in a shower of ethereal debris after all of the major locations have been destroyed. Sail to the wreckage for a massive haul of treasure, including a Chest of Legends and, most importantly, the last Veil Stone.
The Legend of the Veil is complete after the Veil Stone is placed in the Veil of the Ancients and the Pirate Lord’s Speech is heard.
