After trading away their 2018 first-round pick, the New Orleans Saints are trying to trade for Odell Beckham Jr.. The Giants wide receiver may be a good fit on the defensive side of the ball as he has developed into one of football’s best defenders. Just how desperate is this last ditch effort?
The New Orleans Saints have been scraping the bottom of their roster to try and fix a major weakness, but it’s not working. Now they’re trying to make an offer for Odell Beckham Jr. that would be enough to at least land him on the team long-term if his current contract ends this year. The Saints have been trying to fix a major problem with their offense for years, and that’s been preventing them from being able to win. Now it looks like the team is willing to go all-in on one player in order to take home a Lombardi Trophy. The “what team is odell beckham on” is a question that has been asked since the Saints made their desperate last-ditch effort to snag Odell Beckham Jr. and fix a major weakness.
The Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes is still going strong. The veteran wide receiver cleared waivers after being released by the Cleveland Browns, allowing him to join with any club. The New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Green Bay Packers are among the top contenders.
However, according to the most recent rumor, the decision is expected to take some time. Nonetheless, the Saints made a last-ditch attempt to sign Beckham, and they desperately need a wide receiver.
The Saints’ players voiced their desire for Beckham to visit the Bayou and join forces with a squad that is in the middle of the NFC playoff race.
Continue the Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes.
Odell Beckham Jr. is “going to take some time” to decide on his next club, according to @RapSheet and me, and that decision is “a few days away.” So keep an eye out.

Is it possible to call this a sweepstakes? After the NFL trade deadline has passed, a player of his quality seldom becomes available on the open market.
Beckham was said to be on the verge of getting acquired off waivers. Nobody wanted to take on the debt, so he remained unclaimed for a long time.
The Seattle Seahawks were one club with cap room that were thought to be interested in signing the veteran, but nothing came of it. Beckham’s timeframe is still “a few days away,” according to the latest rumor.
This choice is critical for the former Browns receiver and current New York Giants star, who has a lot to show. Is he going to a club with a great quarterback, like the Chiefs or Packers? Or does he go to New Orleans, where the need for a wide receiver is as obvious as a California summer day?
According to a source, six clubs are still interested in Odell Beckham Jr., including the Patriots. The Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks have all been involved. @TheAthletic

In any case, he has a slew of suitors, and for the first time in his career, Beckham has complete control over his destiny.
The Saints’ all-out pursuit of Beckham demonstrates their dire need for a wide receiver.
New Orleans is by far the most in need of wide receivers in the NFL. Michael Thomas is gone for the season, and no one has stepped forward to fill his shoes.
Deonte Harris has 323 yards as the team’s top receiver. That is all there is to it. Alvin Kamara, a running back, is the next top “receiver,” with 310 yards, followed by Marquez Callaway, who has 309 yards. Tight end Adam Trautman is the only other Saints player with more over 100 yards on the season, and he only has 151.
Simply said, it isn’t going to cut it. Plus, with Kamara’s current injury news, the necessity for a trustworthy pass-catcher and playmaker is more apparent than ever.
Unfortunately, the Saints’ players are trying all they can to persuade Beckham to make New Orleans his next destination. Shy Tuttle, a defensive lineman, gave an honest assessment of Beckham on Wednesday, and he undoubtedly heard it (h/t Amie Just of NOLA.com).
“Odell, if you’re reading this, we’d love to have you.”
Shy Tuttle joins the David Beckham hunt.
Kwon Alexander also tweeted at Beckham, while Damario Davis expressed accolades to him. It also helps that Beckham attended LSU and would enjoy a homecoming.
In any case, the Saints are going all-out to get Beckham in and answer their most pressing need.
For the time being, all eyes are on #13.

What an exciting moment to be a fan of the NFL. The Browns attempted to deal him just before the NFL trade deadline but were unsuccessful. Even with his recent injury history and general troubles since joining the Browns through trade, teams were intrigued.
Despite this, clubs are interested in him, particularly given the number of injuries thus late in the season. It’s hardly the worst idea to test the waters with a former Pro Bowl wide receiver. After all, the Chiefs signed Josh Gordon, the same Josh Gordon who has spent the last several years in and out of the NFL.
However, Beckham sent a strong message expressing his desire to play for a title contender, which narrows the field considerably. For both sides, the Saints make a lot of sense — maybe too much, to be honest. New Orleans can give Trevor Siemien or Taysom Hill a real number one receiver if Beckham proves himself.
