When Kevin Durant and Steve Kerr spoke before the Warriors’ Game 4 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, the two reportedly disagreed on a number of topics. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Warriors coach told his star player that he was “probably the most talented non-scorer I’ve ever been around”. Durant fired back by saying that “I’m probably the best (basketball) player you’ve ever been around.”
NBA MVP Kevin Durant is known for his strong opinions and his willingness to share them. That was on full display earlier today when he appeared to take issue with comments made by Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr during an interview on ESPN’s The Bill Simmons Podcast.
Just two days into the season, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr criticized his star player Kevin Durant on Twitter for not playing well. It wasn’t a big deal. But it got bigger after Golden State’s media day on Tuesday.. Read more about where is kevin durant from and let us know what you think.Kevin Durant no longer plays for the Golden State Warriors team, but it seems there is still drama surrounding his time in the Bay Area. Author and former Bleacher Report editor Matt Sullivan recently reported in his book Can’t Knock the Hustle, that Warriors coach Steve Kerr has criticized Durant’s Twitter habits in the past. This led to a response from Durant… on Twitter.
Durant is known for his Twitter habits. He’s not afraid to argue with his fans on the app, and accounts have even been fired up.
Speaking about his Can’t Knock the Hustle on The Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotzrecently, Sullivan said he had spoken with Kerr about Durant’s presence on Twitter.
He said he went for a drink with KD when he got tired of KD going through his DMs, zhj accounts and such, Sullivan said in episode 2. July. He invited him in, prepared a lesson and told KD: You know what I respect about LeBron? I respect the fact that when he came to Miami, he was tired of the stories, the haters, everything that was being said, and you know what he did? … LeBron just said to hell with it and went back to being great. Like Michael, like Kobe and all the other greats.
Sullivan essentially said that Kerr’s lesson worked to some extent. The Warriors won back-to-back titles in 2016-17 and 2017-18, but the coach reportedly always tried to get Durant to not constantly look at his phone during the years KD played for him.
He tried to convince him to end the feud with Draymond and the feud with the kids on Twitter, and he replied: I tried, but it didn’t work out, Sullivan said. (Kerr says) I saw the tension on his face every day, especially third year, all day, but he was looking at his phone the whole time. That’s why he can’t forget it. … He’s in the debate for the top five players on the GOAT to make sure he’s part of that conversation. So I don’t think he’s really changed since Bay, and the only difference is that Brooklyn lets him be himself and doesn’t punch him in the face like Kerr did.

Durant saw Kerr’s comments on Twitter recently and, as expected, had to respond.
I have no problem interacting with basketball fans, it should be encouraged, he tweeted . Steve also had to say that I am never late and practice every rehearsal at game pace. That should be more interesting than what I do on Twitter.
Sullivan, however, responded to Durant.
Have you read my book? Steve said exactly that: On the field, this reaction could not have been handled better, Sullivan tweeted . Everything you do is MUCH more interesting than the tweets, which is why those take up three paragraphs on 311 pages. With books, unlike Twitter, context matters.
Durant isn’t playing again this year, as the Brooklyn Nets lost in the Eastern Conference semifinals, but he’s still the subject of harrowing storylines.
Let’s hope he and Kerr can reconcile soon.
Although Durant no longer plays for the Warriors, he and Kerr will meet again this summer when Durant plays for Team USA at the Olympics. Kerr is an assistant to coach Greg Popovich. Durant’s former Warriors teammate, Draymond Green, will also be in attendance.
It will be the first time for a lot of guys, so it will be a new experience for a lot of them, Durant said in June in the Out of Office podcast, according to NBC Sports. But Steve was there, Draymond was there, I was there, and we were already working together. And it will be fun to work with them again.
He continued: We’ve been through a lot, we’ve learned a lot together. This is going to be fun.
Let’s hope the recent drama doesn’t affect Team USA and Durant can work with Kerr again. But Durant proves it time and time again: He will play the game no matter what.
