The Patriots are on their way to yet another Super Bowl, but it’s not all good news for Tom Brady. His wife Gisele Bundchen has blocked him from attending the game this year because he cheated on her with a supermodel. And now she says that if he had just kept his marriage together, they would be sitting in the luxury suite at U2 Stadium right now instead of being blown up to billboards across Boston! What do you think?

The “who is tom brady playing for” is a question that has been asked many times over the years. The answer to this question is always the same, but it’s not as simple as it seems.

Tom Brady, the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and an ageless marvel, had a historic day on Sunday. Brady threw his 600th touchdown pass on his route to breaking the Chicago Bears’ spirit. However, after the historic moment, he came dangerously close to losing the ball. The quarterback ultimately got it back, and he and Eli and Peyton Manning had a nice chuckle about it on Monday Night Football.

On Sunday, Mike Evans fumbled the ball after Tom Brady delivered his 600th touchdown pass.

Tom Brady struck Mike Evans for a nine-yard touchdown throw with six seconds remaining in the first quarter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 38-3 thrashing of the Chicago Bears.

According to CBS Sports, the Buccaneers celebrated by Evans running over the home fans in the bleachers and handing the ball to 29-year-old Bucs “super fan” Byron Kennedy.

This wouldn’t have mattered on practically any other TB12 touchdown pass. This was, however, Brady’s 600th touchdown throw. When the Buccaneers’ coaching staff learned Evan’s blunder — cameras captured the receiver shouting, “I threw the ball away!” — they set about reclaiming the historic piece of memorabilia.

Kennedy told CBS that he didn’t want to return the ball at first. He eventually gave up because “you can’t say no to Tom Brady.” He’s requesting his 600th touchdown football return, and he’s the one who earned it.”

The crew put prepared a beautiful gift package for him after the game, which included:

  • Brady autographed two jerseys and a helmet.
  • Mike Evans’ autographed jersey, as well as the cleats he wore during the game.
  • A $1,000 Buccaneers team shop gift card.
  • Buccaneers season tickets are available for the remainder of 2021 and the whole year of 2022.

While it is a fantastic deal, it pales in contrast to the ball’s estimated value of $500,000 or more if Kennedy placed it up for auction.

The person who returned the ball made Brady and the Manning Brothers giggle.

Tom Brady joined his friends Peyton and Eli Manning on the ESPN2 “ManningCast” on Monday Night Football the day after the game, the touchdown throw, and the negotiations with Kennedy.

The topic soon shifted to the 600th touchdown throw (61 more than Peyton Manning and 234 more than Eli Manning) and regaining possession of the ball. When Eli questioned Brady whether he got the ball back, he said, “I got it back.” Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion. To reclaim the ball, there were several conversations.”

“Byron recognized he lost all his leverage when he handed the ball away,” he said. He should have kept it for as long as he could to gain as much leverage as possible.

Peyton retaliated by stomping on the fan and making Brady and Eli laugh:

This is a novice maneuver. He would have sat in the Tom Brady suite for the rest of the season if he had kept it, but it was an amateur move on his behalf.

Brady did come to his new friend’s rescue. He said that the fan got a terrific bargain on everything he ordered and disclosed one more surprise: Brady also gave Kennedy a Bitcoin, which is presently worth roughly $60,000.

So it’s possible that this was not such a “amateur” move after all.

While the narrative of Mike Evans, Tom Brady, and the Manning brothers is compelling, let us not forget what got us all to this point.

In his career, Brady has thrown 600 touchdown passes.

Consider this: with ten games remaining in the 2021 season — and who knows how many more after that — Brady (now with 602) is already 31 touchdown passes ahead of second-place Drew Brees and 175 touchdown passes ahead of the current leader, 37-year-old Aaron Rodgers.

To go from his current 17 to Brady’s 22, Rodgers would have to average 35 touchdowns a season, a figure he’s only exceeded five times.

It’s no secret that during the previous two decades, the number of NFL franchises has increased. When comparing Brady’s stats to those of other all-time greats, though, the results are still astounding. The total amount of touchdowns scored by John Elway and Joe Montana in their careers is 27 fewer than Brady’s. Why don’t you combine Terry Bradshaw, Kurt Warner, and Troy Aikman? You’d still be 17 numbers short of Brady’s.

Brady has done (and continues to do) fantastic things. He’s breaking records that won’t be broken again for a long time.

The GOAT also has the ball to memorialize these achievements, due to some savvy negotiations by his Tampa Bay team.
