‘I Didn’t Like What Was Gonna Come out of My Mouth’

In the last few weeks, we have seen a number of athletes caught in some unusual moments on camera. From LeBron James’ “I didn’t like what was coming out of my mouth” to Sarah Palin’s awkward hug from Goldie Hawn, it appears that locker room visits are around for good.

The “ry citrus” is a song by the band “The Offspring”. The song was released in 1997 and has been covered by many artists. The lyrics of the song are about regretting what one says and how it can have consequences.

'I Didn't Like What Was Gonna Come out of My Mouth'

The most popular basketball player in the globe is LeBron James. It’s all over the internet when he travels there. Kraft would issue a statement if he tweeted that he despises mac & cheese. And when James says anything even somewhat controversial, it makes the top page of the newspaper.

Given his long history in the spotlight, it seems that the Los Angeles Lakers player is well aware of the influence his remarks have on the national media debate. So, after a humiliating defeat, James decided to miss his postgame news conference because he was frightened of what he may say.

The Denver Nuggets humiliated the Los Angeles Lakers with a 37-point victory.

The Lakers have had a difficult season. Every night, LeBron James seemed to give it his all, averaging 28.8 points (his highest in almost a decade), 7.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. The Lakers, on the other hand, are 22-22 and fell by 37 points to the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 15.

The Los Angeles Lakers had great expectations coming into the season, and they haven’t even come close to being met. It was probably not in the plans for the team to lose by over 40 points in a game.

James had a solid game against the Nuggets. He scored 25 points on 9-of-23 shooting, which was not amazing but not bad. Only two other Lakers scored in double figures, so he didn’t have much offensive support.

The defense, on the other hand, was abysmal. Denver pounded LA for 133 points, with reigning MVP Nikola Jokic scoring just 20 points, while Jeff Green added 26 and Bones Hyland added 27. In addition, the Nuggets shot 51.6 percent overall and 57.5 percent from 3-point range.

For the Lakers, it was a new low. And it looks that James was not pleased with the outcome of the game, as he apologized to Purple and Gold supporters through Twitter.

In addition, he refused to talk to the press.

LeBron James seldom refuses to talk to the media after a game. He seems to have always grasped his role as the NBA’s public face. He elected not to do so following the humiliating defeat to the Nuggets, and he explained why a few days later.

According to the Lakers’ YouTube channel, he remarked in his Jan. 17 news conference, “I had time to compose my thoughts, but I didn’t like what was about to come out of my lips.” “So, I’ve chosen not to talk with you because I recognize that some of the things I say might get up in the wrong hands.” So, since I didn’t want it to happen to my colleagues at the moment, I opted to keep it to myself.”

The Lakers have had a terrible season, and it seems that James — a four-time champion who went to eight consecutive NBA Finals and nine in ten years from 2011 to 2020 – isn’t happy with the situation.

He and LA, on the other hand, reacted.

LeBron James and the Lakers defeated the Jazz in a major game.

Following the defeat to the Nuggets, the Lakers faced the Utah Jazz, one of the best teams in the Western Conference, on Jan. 17. And they seemed to be determined to make up for their previous humiliating performance in the game.

Los Angeles defeated Utah 101-95 and played much superior defense. The team’s defensive rating was 143.4 against the Nuggets, but it dropped to 98.2 against the Jazz, which is better than its season average of 110.1. In addition, the Jazz shot 36.9% from the field and 26.1 percent from 3-point range.

LeBron James led the way offensively with 25 points, but Russell Westbrook, Malik Monk, Talent Horton-Tucker, and Stanley Johnson all scored more over ten.

Was the victory versus Utah a game-changer for the season? Most likely not. However, it was a positive start in the right direction. Now is the time for the Lakers to play that style more consistently and put together a stretch of victories.
