How to Get Pale Ale in Stardew Valley

In Stardew Valley, you can fill up a keg and brew one of the game’s most famous drinks. It’s called the Pale Ale, and it’s made by the Brewmaster. For those who don’t have a keg, there is a substitute that only takes a few minutes to make.

A few weeks ago, I posted a guide on how to get beer in Stardew Valley, and it’s been getting some attention! The guide gets a few comments every day, and is getting more views all the time. But since my guide is only about beer, and not about the whole culinary system, I’ve decided to write another guide: this time on getting pale ale in Stardew Valley.

With the new year just around the corner, it is time to look back at the year that was and check out the highlights. As the year draws to a close, we found one of our favorite things to do was get a little pale ale and just relax by the tree. This seasonal drink is one of the most important additions to the game, and it is something that we all need to try!

Pale Ale is the second-most profitable of all the Artisan Goods in Stardew Valley when used in a Keg. Pale Ale can be made at home using Hops and takes just one to two days to make after you have all of the necessary components.

If you drink the Pale Ale, you’ll get a Tipsy buff, which slows you down by one for 30 seconds. This drink is simple and fast to make, and this tutorial will take you through the process.

How to Get Hops in Stardew Valley

To make Pale Ale, you’ll need two ingredients: hops and a keg.

Hops may be obtained by purchasing the Hops Starter for 60g at Pierre’s General Store. Alternatively, you may get it for 60g if you have a JojaMart subscription, or 75g if you don’t.

Plant your starting seeds in the summer, or at any time of year in the Greenhouse/on the Island Farm. Because they grow on a trellis, make sure there’s enough room between the crops for you to water and pick them.

Return on the 12th day following planting to discover fully developed Hops ready to harvest. From now on, you’ll be able to collect extra Hops every day.

How to Get Kegs in Stardew Valley

To make a Keg, you must be at least Farming Level 8, since that is when the recipe is learned. If you’ve reached a sufficient level, go ahead and make one using the following ingredients:

  • 30 Wood
  • a single copper bar
  • a single iron bar
  • a single oak resin

If you aren’t yet at Farming Level 8, you may earn XP by harvesting, petting farm animals, shearing sheep, milking animals, and collecting up animal goods, among other activities.

To achieve Level 8 from start, you’ll need 6900 XP, but if you don’t want to wait, consider completing the Artisan Bundle, one of the Pantry’s packages. You will get a Keg after completing six things in the package.

How to Age Pale Ale in Stardew Valley

Interact with the Keg while holding the Hops to put them inside after you have your Hops and Keg set to go. It will take around a day and a half for the Hops to turn into Pale Ale, so keep an eye out for your finished product.

You’ll want to age it if you want to enhance the amount of money you earn. This will enhance its worth, much like all other alcoholic drinks in the game. This is a little more difficult since it necessitates the use of a Cask.

Talk to Robin at the Carpenter Shop after you’ve upgraded your home to include a nursey and ask for the Cellar improvement. This will be very costly, costing a total of 100,000 gold, but it will include 33 Casks.

Fill these Casks with Pale Ales and set them aside for:

  • It takes nine days to go from Base to Silver.
  • From Base to Gold takes 17 days.
  • It takes 34 days to go from Base to Iridium.

Aging it to Iridium grade may lead it to sell for twice as much, so it’s a great way to make money if you’re prepared to wait. Pale Ale of Iridium grade will cost 600g, or 840g if you hold the Artisan profession. The standard Pale Ale costs 300g, while the Artisan Pale Ale costs 420g.

Pale Ale may be made on a kind of assembly line since hops can be harvested every day, moved to kegs, and then to casks. As a result, it’s one of the finest and simplest methods to earn a lot of money in Stardew Valley. However, they aren’t the only hints we have for the game.
