Following the success of games like “Dishonored 2”, “Prey” and “Wolfenstein II”, Bethesda announced today the release of the Director’s Cut of their 2017 game “Ghost of Tsushima”.  The Director’s Cut features an extended epilogue, which tells the story of the game’s protagonist, Tokugawa Iemitsu, and details his final days before the Meiji Restoration.

It was announced today that the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive game, Ghost of Tsushima, will include a 20-minute expansion episode, titled “The Gate of the Sun”, that is attached to the main game. The expansion will focus on the side-story of the main character, Jin, and feature the novelization of the original game’s story. The news was revealed during Sony’s Japan-only event for the game, which included a special stage presentation by the game’s developer, Sucker Punch, alongside a new trailer for the expansion.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be released on the 20th. Released in August, Sucker Punch announced. Director’s Cut not only contains all the previous DLC, but also a brand new expansion set on the nearby island of Iki.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut costs $69.99 on PS5 and $59.99 on PS4. Like other generation games, it also includes upgrade options.

If you buy the PS4 version, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $9.99. Those who own the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima can purchase the Director’s Cut on PS4 for $19.99.

If you have the original Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, you can upgrade to the PS5 Director’s Cut for $29.99.


The PS4 and PS5 versions will include new standalone content set on the island of Iki.

Today, we can confirm that in addition to a brand new story and characters, the new island will also feature loads of new content, including brand new environments to explore, new armor for Jin and his horse, new mini-games, new techniques, new types of enemies and much more.

There are even new animals to pet!

The PlayStation 5 version includes a number of additional features, such as adaptive triggers, haptic feedback and support for 60fps and 4K resolution.
